Quantum Learning Meets Quantum Foundations
This workshop brings together researchers exploring the intersection of quantum learning and quantum foundations — an intersection that is rarely explored, but one we believe could be especially fruitful.
Over two days at UC San Diego, physicists and philosophers will discuss what can and cannot be learned about quantum systems, how classical reality emerges from quantum information, and what weak measurement, tomography, and machine learning reveal about the foundations of quantum mechanics. Our goal is to identify productive directions for future work and to foster new collaborations.
The workshop is hosted as part of the John Templeton Foundation collaboration between Chapman University and UC San Diego.
